You had a profound statment in your post. You used the word citizen, well now, our fearless leader also want you and me and everyother hard working American to also pay for illegal aliens health care. If we get rid of that number the millions of the so called uninsured go down about 13+ million. Now if we also count out the dead beats how actually could get insurance through thier employer but choose not to because they want to drive a nicer car or live in a more expensive house the un insured goes down another 12 + million or so. Remeber during the evil Bush administration the democrats were blaming Bush of not caring about the poor children and health care. Thus them trying to dupe the American people again. Bush refused to sign their beill because it had provisions to allow people who make 80,000 plus a year to get on the free healthcare dole for their kids. I am sorry but I don’t come close to making 80,00 per year yet I pay health care for my family. Also, when it comes to socialized medicine how come we never mention Mexico, they have free health care for their citizens yet they constently come into our country illegally to take health care from us. Yet you, as an American get hurt in Mexico and try and get a band-aid without payment. It is gonna happen.

Rangel is still a congressman because his constituents from the Bronx, NY love him ? I remember when he attempted years ago to eliminate the Cuban embargo of course after he was approached by lobbyists to do so. This is a government which has no clue nor does it care to have a clue what is in the best interest of americans, there agenda both Dems. & Reps. are party driven and not driven by the will of the people. History repeats itself, this is the same reason why the Roman empire collapsed. Mr. Obama was in the right place at the right time to be elected but I predict will be the wrong president at the wrong time. The Democratic party like the Republicans do not seem to learn their lessons from their past mistakes.

I’m in health care. We DO NOT need the government running this. We already have Medicare and Medi-Cal. The people on Medi-Cal (which as tax payers we are paying for) have better coverage than some working Americans. The get medical, dental, oththodontic and vision care. And don’t forget bariatric surgery for FREE…. I did not sign up to pay for other people who come her illegally or choose to have 5 -8 kids and get everything for free. We do not owe eveyone the right to have coverage. We do not owe anyone anything. Medi-Cal is meant to help the uninsured. People that can not afford regular health insurance can apply for this and if they own their home they may have a share of cost, (a small amount to pay for the coverage for that month).
We need a smaller government. And let the people keep more of the money they make and they will by more tires, or food or clothes. Than the guy who makes the tires, food or clothes keeps more of his money he can go out and by a car or house. Than the guy that builds the car or house go out and buy…you see where I’m going with this. We can improve our economy by letting us keep our money and employers can hire more help and so on.. Everyone needs to stop being blind and wake up..With Big government comes big problems. $18 million dollars for web page design. Come on!!
Wait till you people have a health issue, or your child. Wait 3 months for a CT san than wait 3 months to get in to a surgeon to remove the cancer that now has been growing for 6 months. Than to have our government say well your over 60…your not elgible to have cancer surgery because your past the age limit for it. Or that new drug isn’t safe for your 5 year but safe for children 10 and older….so sorry.
WAKE UP PEOPLE…Stop spending money you don’t earn. Only people that work and pay taxes should have the right to vote! You don’t earn any money than you sure in the hell don’t have the right to vote and say how MY money should be used!

What baloney I’m reading here. This *is not* about politics, this isn’t Democrat vs. Republican, Conservative vs. Liberal. These are peoples lives we’re talking about. It is a national *disgrace* that nearly ONE-SIXTH of this country have no idea how they are going to pay for healthcare *when* they need it (I think we can all agree that, eventually, everyone will need it). I think it’s shameful for people to brag about “how short the wait lines are here as compared to Canada”, conveniently leaving out the number than ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the patients in Canada will see a doctor, even if it isn’t as fast as *they* think it should be. Can you say the same about the United States? Can you honestly look me in the eye and say that in a country with the best medical technology in the world, it is correct for so many of our citizens to be left *out*? I urge everyone here to lobby your Representatives to support H.R. 676.

The constitution explicitly (whoops…) I mean REALLY allows for taxes to be levied on corporate profits. It does NOT allow for employees labor to be taxed AT ALL.

And yes, I do get it You want to keep as much money for yourself as possible.

My point was that your Daddy built up the business you inherited (Hey, you made assumptions in your response)
under a more onerous tax burden than you’re facing today.

I am all in favor of health care for AMERICANS. As a healthcare professional, I would like to ask why do I hear nothing about the billions of dollars that could be saved if the FREE healthcare illegal aliens are getting from this country. I doubt you would need to raise taxes if these billions could be saved from the illegal aliens. Why am I not hearing about this savings being addressed? Are illegal aliens going to continue to get FREE healthcare at our expense or are we really going to start taking care of our citizens?

Spare me your liberal pseudointellectual retort. That is the best you have. Just because previous redistributive rates were more punishing makes them no less illegitamate. You forget it is my wealth, I earned it through my hard work and risk taking. You are not entitled to my wealth or is it my responsibility to fund your healthcare. But whats an extra 15-20 grand a year in taxes, it didn’t come from you. Maybe you should “pursue knowledge” by googling the percentage of federal tax revenue already confiscated from the top 1,5,10%, when is enough enough?
