We're watching Arlen. If you want to be a democrat, you'll need to vote like one. Don't expect us to vote for you if you don't vote for us. Public health care is not negotiable. It's well past time for all Americans to be able to go to a doctor when they're sick. There may be countries that don't manage it well, but Germany and others have done a great job and so can we. You may get money from insurance companies, but you get votes from us and we won't forget this one. We've fought too long and too many are suffering and dying without it.

What happened to Senators representing the will of the people of their state. Sounds to me that Sen Reid wants all Democratic Senators to vote his way or else. This is another good reason for term limits, if its good enough for my Governor and the President, it should be applied to the House and Senate. I would love to see new faces and believe things would improve. People like Reid and Kennedy need to go, bring in fresh blood every 6-12 years, I really feel by doing this, our elected official will be more concern of taking care of the people instead of special interest and prevent the pork coming out of Washington

Arlen Specter was unexpectedly stripped of his seniority Tuesday night in a humiliating blow from Democrats who earlier had welcomed the former Pennsylvania Republican’s defection from the GOP. The move not only strips the five-term senator of his legislative clout but also hampers his ability to persuade voters he can still bring influence to issues in Pennsylvania as he approaches election there in 2010. Specter lashed back Wednesday, strongly suggesting he had been betrayed.” The one thing that I am convinced of is that Arlen is truly a Republican at heart. He demonstrates all the traits of a good, patriotic conservative, perhaps even God fearing. The primary trait that all good Republicans share in spite of their individual successes and apparent intelligence is their incredibly high level of naiveté. Republican’s just refuse to recognize the characteristics of all dyed in the wool, hardcore (so-called liberal thinking), earth dwellers. These characteristics, in no particular order, are: 1. No discernable Character what so ever. 2. Total disregard for us. 3. Total disregard for the law. 4. Incredible ingenuity and cleverness when it comes to funneling our tax dollars and your contributions into their personal accounts or the accounts or their spouses and friends. 5. Their unbelievable willingness to do whatever it takes to further and protect their personal agenda. This would include lying, cheating, stealing and killing among others. 6. Complete lack of honor and trustworthiness. To borrow a phrase from a movie; they think scruples is a form of Russian money and morals are pictures in the Sistine Chapel. 7. Fantastic oratory ability and toothy smiles (if they didn’t come with one they will buy one preferably with tax payers dollars). They can get on stage and go before cameras provided by their buddies in the media and clearly and unmistakably lie to your face and have you cheer, and laugh, and cry, and giggle like little girls and grab your ankles and hobble away believing that they actually care about you. And, you give them your loyalty, your money and your vote and they laugh. 8. This list is inexhaustible. Feel free to add to it. The best example from the resent past that I can recall of the Republican’s and for that matter the general public’s naiveté’ is when slick Willie was trying to educate you as to what the meaning of “IS” is. Who can forget? Well, do you remember that while all this was playing out live on evening TV (how the media loves a scandal) a brave and noble Republican got caught with his pants down. Boy, if the Demoncrats would point their incredible Intelligence gathering network at the various terrorist and drug activities those problems would be solved overnight; that’s another subject. So, that brave and noble Republican, Newt, said: “Come on Willie, let’s do the right thing and resign our elected positions ‘For the Good of the Country’. Come on now follow me I’ll go first”. Well, we all know how that turned out. I imagine to this day slick Willie still gets a laughs out of that. Picture him and buddy Demoncrats in a dark smoky lounge puffing on their illegal Cuban cigars laughing about the fool who did the right thing. Wake up! America is going to hell in a hand basket and you are all gleefully, hand-in-hand carrying the basket. Arlen got scared and abandoned his ideals and will probably loose his life long career. Well, elected government positions should not be a career it should be a service after a successful and fruitful career. We need to get rid of the scoundrels (you all know who they are even if you voted for them) and impose term limits. And, Republicans, you have to stop being stupid (naïve). There must be someone out there who is electable; John McCain was not. I love the man but he is not electable for the position of President. Everyone likes to bash Palin but if it wasn’t for her the results would have been far worse. Arlen Specter should have known better he has been dealing with the Demoncrats for a long time. He got soundly spanked as he should have. The Demoncrats will give away America. Actually, they don’t give away anything. They will sell America to the highest bidders. You need to be more thoughtful when it comes to your duty to vote. Forget what you are being told, check the fruit. We all have to become fruit inspectors. If a candidate has feeding at the trough for three or four decades it’s time to retire them and replace them with servers who have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a tough world. And, by all means, don’t forget to thank God and ask Him for guidance. God bless you all in Jesus’ name.
Ok then - Specter can count on an excellent opponent in the democratic primary. No problem here. Specter is too old for these changes anyway.
There's no way Specter's not going to draw a Democratic primary opponent. It's also likely he'll not get out of the primary. He was a disloyal, backstabbing Republican and now he's a disloyal, backstabbing Democrat.
