  • Rep. Don Young (R-AK) "Twitterjacked."

Rep. Don Young (R-AK) has been "twitterjacked."

Young's office says an imposter has apparently been using the identity of the Alaska Republican to post "tweets" or messages on the social networking site Twitter.
Twitter is where people can send "microblogs" of up to 140 characters. Many users dispatch tweets to tell others what they're doing over the course of the day.
Young spokeswoman Meredith Kenny says Young does not use Twitter and "the messages posted seem to be the work of someone with a little too much free time on their hands."
Kenny called the tweets "preposterous and outrageous." She says they are trying to get Twitter to take down the faux messages.
The Young imitator apparently started sending the posts on Monday. One indicated that Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) was preparing to introduce Articles of Impeachment against President Obama. Bachmann has introduced no such articles.

A "trader" to our country. I'm more frightened of the general illiteracy, ignorance, and meanness of conservatives than of the swine flu. Go ahead and succeed Texas and take Bush and the rest with you.

King Obama is a trader to our country. Where are our leaders and what is going to happen to our great country? Scared and helpless in Texas....not from the swine flu but from radicals in D.C.
